Air Côte d’Ivoire Airbus A319 struck by gunfire in Niamey

An Airbus A319 aircraft belonging to Air Côte d’Ivoire was hit by gunfire at Diori Hamani International Airport (NIM) in Niamey, the capital of Niger.
According to a statement released by Air Côte d’Ivoire, the aircraft, which was in a parking position, was struck by bullets during heavy weapons fire heard around the airport throughout the night. Following the incident, emniyet measures in the area were increased, and a technical investigation was launched into the damaged aircraft.
